About me:
Aloha! My name is Alicia and I am an artist from Essex. I have always enjoyed being creative and have a passion for colour, craft and all things playful. My varied art practice includes drawing, painting, sewing, and running creative workshops. I enjoy working with textiles and embroidery to create unique handmade accessories and soft sculpture. I make prints from my original drawings and paintings and designs for T-shirts, bags and cards.

I have recently moved from the North East to Liverpool where I work part time in a contemporary art gallery, which happens to be the oldest building in the city. Luckily there is enough space in my flat to have a studio where I can practice and create in my spare time.

I studied Interdisciplinary Art & Design in Leeds. This is where I started to grow a love for crafting and I ran creative workshops for people to make their own art toys, re-using unwanted materials. Check out my 'Re-Toyed Trash' project (recycledtoys.wordpress.com) for more information and photos.
