The word ‘Souk’ is often used to designate the market in an Arab or Muslim city, but in modern times it is used increasingly in Western cities too. With its global heritage we are hopefully it will help establish a multicultural connection between buyers and sellers. Souks are vibrant and wholesome age-old markets where traditional handmade craftwork and supplies are prevalent. The name ‘To Souk’ aims to reflect this meaning and to summarise the phrase ‘to take your goods to market’ so that buyers and sellers alike feel they selling or buying their goods at a community driven, cooperative marketplace at which they feel at home amongst their friends.
ToSouk Limited was incorporated in 2011 and is based in Altrincham, Cheshire, in the UK. ToSouk® was founded by Jennifer Dickinson and David Dickinson. ToSouk is growing every day and is run by a team of talented volunteers who are extremely passionate, not only about art, design, handmade craft, and vintage products but, about keeping ToSouk a free-to-sell website and hopefully helping to make your business a success.
